Re the interview with McConnell of Victoria Gold, it says,

A search shows that this conference was May 28 & 29 in Vancouver.

It is good to remind ourselves that the indicators are strong that the Zonte claims, which are next door to Victoria's claims, are better than Victoria's, perhaps significantly so. They are not proven up as are Victoria's, but it seems to be a smart speculative bet, to anticipate that they will be.

Of course, they are also not as mature for production as Victoria, but this is the time to get in, for us to be in -- before there is no doubt about what we have. We can suggest that smart money will invest at this stage, to see the multiple gains that should be there to bring it to the stage of Victoria's.

Right now the Market caps are

Victoria: $287 million, fully diluted $327 million. (probably still a decent buy at that valuation)
Zonte: $ 13.5 million, fully diluted $ 17 million. (probably a truly super risk/reward at this price.)

at the 16.11 min. mark, I wonder if he was referring to Zonte claims.

Yes, I have heard they use a different or older mapping/co-ordinate system than most countries.

But no excuse for Anglo, any miner has to abide by the rules and regulations of the Country they operate in. Not only that, the claims showed as open on the Ministry web site, so no excuse, simply they screwed up.

Sort of like Coeur Mining, they forgot to renew some of their mining leases so a junior grabbed them the day they came open.

It was not long ago that claim stakers had to go in and physically hammer stakes in the ground to mark their claims, but it is becoming more automated and online. In many Countries you or I can simply go online and stake claims paying with a credit card

Colombia uses a different or older dated mapping system for claims and if companies are not aware of this their claims are not accurate and they miss peices, that is how I understand it and not the 1st time it has happened.

Short volume is another factor. The short position is simply the number at the end of the month and half way through on the 15th, so is a snap shot on 2 days a month.

Short volume is initiated short trades and some or all could be covered and not reported at middle and month end. On ZON short volume was 190k in the 1st 2 weeks of June, probably some of the Anonymous trades. It was either all covered or not reported because June 15th short position was Zero as you show. Will be interesting to see if there was a surge in short volume with yesterdays trading, my bet is we see a higher number for June 30th.
