Yes I know, these systems are huge. The article by BHP says there is 120 million tonnes of copper at Olympic Dam so 1/10th is 12 million tonnes

There is 2,204 pounds in a ton, so times 12M is 26,448,000,000 pounds of copper

Copper at US$2,60 equals $68,764,000,000 or $68.7 billion, I rounded down in my previous post.

Keep in mind that ZON might have to spend $20 to $50 million to drill it out and prove that much, but one step at a time. First thing we need is the discovery drill hole.

If Cross Hills is just 1/10th the size of Olypmic Dam it would be 12 million tonnes of copper, worth about US$65 billion at $2.60/pound copper

ron, what few understand is the chance of a new discovery under a previously unheard of or different deposit only comes around every 1 or 2 decades.

In the 1970s/80s it was sedimentary Gold or fine Gold by heap leaching, nobody thought that would be economic. It started in Nevada and now that state is one of the biggest in the world.

In the 1990s it was diamonds, they were unheard of in Canada and many thought it was just pump and dump, now Canada is the 3rd largest producer. www.iti.gov.nt.ca/en/history-diamonds-nwt

Voiseys Bay was unexpected and different because it was found while looking for diamonds and such a huge deposit was unexpected in Labrador.

Since then there has been nothing of significance except maybe the fake BreX.

When ZON discovers an IOGC system, it will be the first in Canada and will set off a huge staking rush in NFLD and maybe across the country, if the size of Cross Hills proves to be large.

That is what sets ZON apart from the crowd, in addition to Colombia. After looking at everything, I am convinced they will make a discovery. What is unknown is the size and economics, but an IOGC system, because of their usual nature gives them good odds of success.

Olympic Dam is the most famous IOGC and BHP says it will take 500 years of mining to deplete it.

flynn, ron to clarify - these are grab samples not drill samples

Mr. Terry Christopher reports

ZONTE METALS PROVIDES AN UPDATE ON ITS CROSS HILLS IOCG PROJECT

Zonte Metals Inc. has provided an update related to its continuing exploration program at the Cross Hills iron-oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) project.

Over the summer, the company completed additional exploration on the Cross Hills IOCG project, including prospecting, mapping and additional high resolution ground magnetic surveys. Surface grab samples are presently in the laboratory and the company is awaiting the results, which will be released once received and interpreted.

In addition and based on field observations, the company has increased its land position from the initial 327 claims to 493 claims (or 81.75 to 123.25 square kilometres). Although much of the initial property has not yet been explored, the increased land position was acquired as a result of identifying the possible controls for mineralization at the Dunns Mountain and K6 targets. Exploration is continuing with the immediate focus on bringing the known targets to the drill stage, if warranted. An update of the drilling plans will be announced once all data are in hand and the program has been set.

Terry Christopher, president and chief executive officer, states: "Exploration at the Cross Hills IOCG project has been successful identifying iron-oxide alteration coincident magnetic anomalies with surface copper mineralization, as seen at the K6 and Dunns Mountain targets. At this point, the company has elected to build on recent exploration and advance the targets through additional exploration in preparation for drilling. Work is presently under way and expected to be concluded within a month or so."

Additional information on the Cross Hills project can be viewed on the Zonte Metals website.

About Zonte Metals Inc.

Zonte Metals is a junior explorer focused on gold and copper. The company has signed option agreements to acquire 100 per cent of the McConnells Jest project in the Tintina gold belt, located in Yukon, and the Cross Hills IOCG project, located in Newfoundland. It also holds a 100-per-cent interest in the drill-ready Wings Point gold project, also located in Newfoundland. In addition, the company and its partner have an application over open areas sitting on top of the open-pit outline of the Gramalote deposit in Colombia, which is held by AngloGold Ashanti and B2Gold; the title issuance is being contested by the state governing the application and the company has started legal action to protect its rights.

They must really like what they are finding to stake all that additional land and probably why it has been quite with no news. 82 to 123 square kilometers is quite an increase
