I bet nobody thought of beacons for this, park benches

Paris has plans to turn some 3,000 benches “smart” by embedding them with “beacons” that can track how many people rest their butts and for how long. The seemingly modest quest will provide Paris with otherwise hard-to-get information that will further its goal of becoming a connected city.

rslate, since your 1st post had to approve it, sorry for delay, have been on the road a lot,

There is actually about 75M shares. There was previous finance rounds and founder shares issued years ago. At C$150M market cap, this is still very low valuation for a tech company in the mobile space

Interesting still only 68% of boomers have cell phones

Millennials have often led older Americans in their adoption and use of technology, and this largely holds true today. But there has been significant growth in tech adoption since 2012 among older generations – particularly Gen Xers and Baby Boomers.

is there a list on the stores/business that are currently using Heelo anywhere?
Was just in Habit on Appleby line/Burlington. Didn't see any signs?
great store, going back tomorrow to pick up my dresser to re finished for the kids room.

Free standing insert (FSI) print promotion activity, measured by coupons dropped, fell 12.4% during the first half of 2019, according to a new analysis by Kantar Consulting sent to Grocery Dive. The report shows the declines are primarily in personal care products, particularly in hair care and shaving, and in dry groceries like candy, snacks, coffee and other center store items.

The analysis found that manufacturers are allocating more money for digital coupons in food categories. Digital coupons and promotions grew 8.5% in the first half of this year, driven by dry grocery, which had an increase of about 390 million prints and clips.

Mobile users worldwide downloaded a record 30.3 billion apps in Q2 2019, according to recent data from App Annie. The bulk of these downloads—22.5 billion—were from the Google Play Store, compared with 7.9 billion from the Apple App Store, and the gap between Google Play and the App Store continues to widen. Google Play downloads outpaced those on the App Store by 185% in Q2 2019, up from 170% in Q1.

Physical stores still account for about 90 per cent of all retail sales in North America. Consumers prefer physical shops as they want to see or try on the products before buying, and browsing is reportedly easier in-store instead of online. Meanwhile, online sales only represent a fraction of the total market, around 12 per cent.

Looking at format usage, the number of digital coupons “clipped” last year rose to 8.4 billion, from 4.5 billion in 2017, with $14 billion in incentives clipped.

Heelo is starting to be part of this number in 2019.

Meanwhile, the number of print coupons distributed dropped by 12.5%, to 243.8 billion, from nearly 278.5 billion in 2017. But incentives offered in print still totaled an impressive $497 billion.
