I approve mozrep message 100%, it's a question of time before the ukrainian army can kick out those russian tugs from Bakhmut.

Good for him...he spent a year to capture a little chunk of worthless land and in the process has decimated his organization, wasted tons of ammunition/weapons/fuel and has pissed off many important people in Moscow who are probably plotting to kill him now.
Also, the Ukrainian army is now retaking ground around Bakhmut to encircle the city which sucks for Wagner forces as there is no where to find cover as most of the buildings have been leveled. These idiots are gonna sit out in the open and catch hell with their hands.
No one ever said these russians were smart people. Thank god for us they are not!

Head of the Russian private military group Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has announced Saturday that after months of grinding warfare and heavy casualties, Russia has now taken full control of the strategic city of Bakhmut.

This guy goes into some good detail. He seems honest but he is Ukrainian from what I see so is naturally biased. He does note it would take years for a Ukrainian victory?

There was some interesting news from the pro Russia Wagner Group this weekend.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the Wagner Group, asks the Russian authorities to declare the end of the war and concentrate on gaining a foothold in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Source: Prigozhin in a comment distributed by his press service
www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/wagner-group-lea...putin-190000516.html

Quote: "For the authorities [of the Russian Federation – ed.] and for society as a whole, it is necessary to put some kind of bold full stop in the ‘special military operation’.

The ideal option is to announce the end of the special military operation, to inform everyone that Russia has achieved the results that it planned, and in a sense, we have really achieved them. We have ground a huge number of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and can report to ourselves that our task has been completed.

Theoretically, Russia has already received this full stop by destroying a large part of the active male population of Ukraine, by intimidating another part of it that has fled to Europe.

Russia has cut off the Azov Sea and a large chunk of the Black Sea, seized a fat chunk of Ukraine's territory, and created a land corridor to Crimea."

Details: The terrorist claims that Russia can only "gain a firm foothold, cling to the territories that already exist".

At the same time, Prigozhin believes that there is one problem that the war caused: "If earlier Ukraine was part of former Russia, now it is an absolutely national-oriented state".

The militant wrote an entire article where he reflects on the importance of Bakhmut, the leak of Pentagon documents and the upcoming offensive of the Armed Forces.

The occupier is against any negotiations with Ukraine and wants the forces of Russia and Ukraine to meet in battle.

LOL...what is that guy smoking? and what war is he watching???

The russians have just started sending in tanks from the 1940's, they can't even capture Bahkmut(9 months and going), russians are leaving Crimea in droves and there army is going on the defensive....just to name a few.

You can tell he is just saying that for political reasons to get a reaction.
I'm going to love to see all these people backtrack and take down their negative doom and gloom articles when Ukraine enters Crimea.

Good article here by retired Col. Douglas Macgregor
www.theamericanconservative.com/the-gath...0145276befcd43e9d37d

"American national power is measured as much by American military capability as by economic potential and performance. The growing realization that American and European military-industrial capacity cannot keep up with Ukrainian demands for ammunition and equipment is an ominous signal to send during a proxy war that Washington insists its Ukrainian surrogate is winning.

Russian economy-of-force operations in southern Ukraine appear to have successfully ground down attacking Ukrainian forces with the minimal expenditure of Russian lives and resources. While Russia’s implementation of attrition warfare worked brilliantly, Russia mobilized its reserves of men and equipment to field a force that is several magnitudes larger and significantly more lethal than it was a year ago."

Saying and doing are 2 different things, lest see what actually gets there and when.

Here is and interesting article just out

"The Ukraine War will likely go down in history as a point of inflection, the tipping point that solidifies a dramatic change in how the world is governed and resource wealth distributed…

America and the rest of the West are totally out to lunch on everything related to Ukraine. Our behavior has been utterly shameful, and our judgment about the situation and its consequences is so at odds with reality that it’s unbelievable."

I don't think it was propaganda. The last tally I saw was about 150 tanks with about 60 being sent in March into May. Germany will be providing another 100 throughout the year.
That being said there are a dozen countries that could easily increase that number throughout the year as well. I easily see Poland, Spain and UK as being the first to do it.
Even 60 Leopard 2's/Challenger tanks are a game changer to the battle field and will play an important part of the spring offensive. As one American general recently stated that these new western tank companies/battalions act as a punch in any offensive action and along with the 100's of Bradley's, Strykers, light French tanks and other armored vehicles arriving in Ukraine they will have a effective modern armored army.
This is all also in addition to the refurbished T-72's they are also getting from European countries and captured from Russian forces.
The new JDAM kits provided by the U.S. will also be huge benefit to this offensive but what will be very very interesting is if the U.S. or the U.K. provide any long range missiles that can go 150-200km. If they do or if they are able to produce some domestically then that will truly be another game changer for them.

It sounds like your 200 tanks to Ukraine was way too optimistic or just propaganda talk, according to this statista March 15 article, they will be lucky to get 60. Statista has a good reputation of accuracy

www.statista.com/chart/29205/ukraine-tank-deliveries/

Earlier this week, Ukrainian soldiers finished a four-week training on German-designed Leopard 2 tanks in Spain, making the country's military ready to receive the tanks. Poland will have provided 14 Leopard 2 units by the end of the month - some of which have already arrived in Ukraine -, while Germany and Portugal will have delivered 18 and 3, respectively. This is according to the Ukrainian online publication Defense Express. In fact, Poland is hoping to deliver 16 more tanks it is currently fixing up by the end of April, according to Bloomberg. Spain itself is attempting to get six out of the 10 promised Leopard 2 tanks, which are currently mothballed, ready for delivery this spring. At a total count of 57, these deliveries would still fall short of the 62 tanks needed for two Ukrainian tank battalions.

So what happened to the other pledges? The Netherlands, initially pledging 18 tanks, withdrew its proposition because its vehicles are loaned from Germany, which did not sign off on the additional deliveries of tanks on top of the ones it is already sending. According to German media, Denmark and Finland have also backpedaled, citing their need for the tanks at home and in existing missions, while Sweden is holding out for NATO membership - currently blocked by Turkey and Hungary.

Defense Express further lists pledges of eight Leopard 2 tanks each from Norway and Canada. But no set timelines seem to exist for these deliveries, similar to the situation in the UK, which has pledged 14 Challenger 2 tanks and wants to double that number from mothballed units at a later stage. The U.S., finally, might be looking at the longest timeline. The country which reluctantly made its own model, the M1 Abrams, available to keep its European partners at ease, is saying that deliveries will take at least months or even until the end of the year.

I provided my sources in the write up. I hope your right and war is unpredictable. Agree Russia has made some bad mistakes and some poor performance at times, but they have a lot of fire power.

Nobody wins in war and peace would be the best thing, but at this point its seems nobody is talking peace and unfortunately 100,000 or more will end up killed on both sides.

Thanks for the insights, I never doubted the Ukrainian peoples resolve, but will they have enough numbers to see it through?
