Well everyone, I know it has been a long wait and frustrating, but try to look forward. The past is just that, history. We have turned a new leaf here with a discovery, it just needs to be built upon now.

Struthers is right 'its a brand new ball game' I bought a bit more today

Alex, great call and info last week on 0.4% copper. We are already hitting this. ZON followers should take advantage of the poor market and investor ignorance to buy more of this stock. Some available at 10 cents. Here is depth

Well, I am happy to get more stock this morning, with higher confidence now that a discovery is made. Here is the map showing the fan of drill holes, with Struther's comments

The graphic above depicts the fanned drill holes at different depths. Hole 6 is only about 50m deep and it hit the 34.5m of 0.10% copper and as the drilling went deeper, the grades increased, with the deepest, hole 5 with the 11.2m of 0.42% copper. Including the top shorter 0.3% intersect this hole is down around 100m to 130m given the angle of the drill hole. It appears hole 2 was above the zone.

Another very positive aspect is chalcocite grade is increasing at depth. As I pointed out a while back, this is the strongest of the various types of copper mineralization. Zonte also highlights that alteration indicates that shallow hole 6 could be open to depth.

ron, its regulators that halt the stock. They have to look important.

Here is part of the news, awesome to see drill hits around 0.4%. Not sure how to post with graphics.

Halifax, NS, Canada – TheNewswire - February 29, 2024 - Zonte Metals ( TSXV:ZON ) is pleased to provide an update on the K6 drilling program at it’s Cross Hills Copper Project in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Drill Program Highlights

Visible copper mineralization observed in all 7 drill holes.

CH23-05 intersected 11.2m of 0.42% copper, including 2.65% over 0.5m.

CH23-06 intersected longest mineralized interval; 34.5m of 0.1% copper.

Mineralization is open along strike and to depth.

Chalcocite mineralization and copper grade increase with depth.

While K6 is the smallest target at Cross Hills; its success validates the effectiveness of the new exploration program.

This drill success indicates the project’s potential to become a new copper belt in Canada.

Terry Christopher, President and CEO comments; “We’re pleased to have made a discovery at the K6 target, following the last three years of additional surface exploration. The initial two years of exploration at Cross Hills targeted specific geophysical anomalies with moderate drill success, at best. The new combined exploration dataset has proven successful with the discovery at K6. Visually, copper was observed in all drill holes, with continuous intercepts up to 34.5m. The drilling also highlighted the presence of chalcocite as the dominant copper mineral. CH23-05 recorded 11.2m of 0.42% Cu with 1.41% and 2.64%, recorded in 0.7m and 0.5m, respectively. Mineralization remains open to depth and along strike, with copper grades increasing with depth as chalcocite percentages increase . The K6 target will be the immediate drill focus for the company and the drill permit has been applied for. The K6 target represents the first test of the combined data, and although the target is the smallest known target on the project, the drill success demonstrates that combined exploration techniques are effective for finding copper mineralization. This discovery is important on a larger property scale as it highlights the Cross Hill project is fertile with copper, potentially hosting a new copper belt in Canada.”

A total of seven drill holes were completed, totaling 1741m, at the K6 target. The drill holes were positioned to test numerous aspects within the combined dataset, some of which remain untested. All seven drill holes intersected visual copper mineralization. Drill holes CH23-03, 05 and 06 recorded copper in widths up to 34.5m. Grades generally ranged from 0.10 to 0.40% Cu, with individual samples returning up to 2.64% Cu. Mineralization is characterized mainly by chalcocite, bornite and chalcopyrite with a general pattern of chalcocite becoming the dominant copper mineral with depth. The image below illustrates the K6 drill hole plan map with copper values and illustrates mineralization being open along strike, especially to the west. Drill hole CH23-07, completed along strike to the west, intersected anomalous values, however, comparing the alteration sequence in the earlier holes to this one, suggests this hole may have drilled over mineralization.

For now, no speculation money is in the stock, this tradition seems gone forever in the exploration junior stocks, it's the new reality we have to cope with,

meanwhile, Sprott isn't able to convince regulators to have a securities trading rule known as the “uptick rule” or “tick test” reinstated, so we're back in the $0.09 range, not much buyers on the bid side, only strong sellers on the ask side, sad !!!

DJ, good point. ron I found this on IOCG
www.911metallurgist.com/blog/iocg-iron-o...er-gold-ore-deposits

I think what makes them higher grade is the extra gold and silver usually in them. Some IOCGs have a high enough gold grade to be stand alone gold mines.

Zonte has hit both silver and gold, so will be interesting going forward what that might be. The 50 to 100 holes would of course be after a discovery, I was talking about what is needed to get average grades

thanks for the sample Alex. I noticed with Midnight Sun, they did a JV on just one of their 4 targets. I wonder with Zonte and 12 targets, could they do a JV say just on k6 and k7, interesting concept

Good find alexgreat, Zonte is an IOCG, shouldn't the grades be higher, the grand master RonS was talking about decent widths, wonder what he's thinking, but before we get to 50-100 holes, I hope the discovery will be made first, otherwise we will have to wait another 5 years ?

RonS has a strong buy and the pressure is on the selling side, go figure ????

Rio Tinto has disclosed the maiden Inferred Mineral Resource at the 100% owned Winu copper-gold project and revealed the discovery of a new zone of gold dominant mineralisation approximately 2 km east of the Winu deposit in the Paterson Province of Western Australia.

The Inferred Mineral Resource, reported at a 0.2% copper equivalent cutoff, is 503Mt at 0.45% copper equivalent (CuEq). This includes a higher grade component of 188Mt at 0.68% CuEq at a cutoff grade of 0.45% CuEq.
