Thanks Ron, I bought a position and I see the ban of Chinese drones is spreading.

The U.S. Defense Department and Department of Interiors banned Chinese drones, now the Japan Coast guard is eliminating Chinese made drones.

TOKYO -- The Japan Coast Guard plans to stop using and procuring Chinese-made drones in fiscal 2020 due to concerns over information security, Nikkei has learned. It will be the second case in which Chinese products are barred from consideration by Japanese government procurement programs.

Equipment from China's Huawei Technologies is also banned from consideration for government use.

The Japan Coast Guard is currently using a few dozen Chinese-made drones to conduct rescue and surveillance activities. The drones are reasonably priced and perform well but will be replaced by non-Chinese models.

DHS Continues to Warn Private Industry Against Using Foreign-Made Drones

Brian Garrett-Glaser – December 9, 2019

“Government cybersecurity officials continue to warn U.S. companies about the dangers of using unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) designed or manufactured abroad, according to a sensitive document distributed to private industry by the FBI’s Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency on November 20… Canadian drone manufacturer Draganfly, which recently held an IPO on the Canadian Stock Exchange (CSE) and added well-connected former U.S. government officials to its board, is also angling to capitalize on a potential DJI ban, though it currently doesn't hold a significant share of the drone market.”
