Ron here is 2 charts from early 2008 that I used, the first from Jan 21 and I pointed out at that time we had seen a double top and at the old 2001 high. The market had fallen below the 200 day MA and broke through previous lows, At that time my comment was we are heading into a bear market and it would go much lower. I think the bottom was around 700.

The 2nd one was to simply to show a failed break of the 2001 top. The market will give us signals of problems, it is just few want to believe them. "It will be different this time" is the famous line. History always repeats but with a little different twist

RonS,seems that another crash is ahead of us,
the last time in 2008 the juniors were down significantly,
wondering if this time it's going to be the same thing or will it be different,
would be sad to start all over again when zonte is getting close to print some
new highs, what's your take on that ?

Ron the recent action was a small correction although a fast one. Normally markets have to go through some topping formation and roll over before any big correction or crash, but there is always possibility of obscure event, nuclear bomb terror attach etc.

I was looking for a possible double top in US markets, we now might see a head and shoulders top or the bull market goes higher.

When danger signs flash harder and we do get that bear or crash, they are always different than the last one and why makes it hard for most to see.

Last one in 2008 Gold and mining stocks had witnessed a large rally from the 2002 bottom so they had room to fall, today they are at multi year lows. We are at the point in the cycle that you often see a rise with inflation, interest rates and commodities/gold

We are seeing 3 of the 4 but gold has not done much yet. We may have to go into further inflation before markets peak or fall from current levels.

For ZON, with such a steep and quick correction, could have caused panic or margin call, wanted to raise cash. Could be shorting, the short volume report will be out early next week and might reveal a clue.

Hoss, thanks for the explanation, makes sense withe all the weird trading and end of day bash. I agree best idea now is to bid and hope you get filled. I do have a bid in.

If I do not get a fill, worst case, I have to buy higher next week or the week after, then my portfolio would be up in that case too, so a win win

I welcome the recent pull back in the stock, as Rick Rule has often said 'you should be happy if a stock you like falls because you can buy more cheaper” Not sure if that is the exact quote, close enough.

Don't worry about the price today, tomorrow or next week. I think all of us bought this stock to see drill results at Cross Hill, follow up drilling at Jest in the Yukon and a cash settlement out of Colombia. None of these will happen next week but they all will happen.

I accumulate when stocks fall, so it is a great time to put in bids, if the seller or shorter persists, you can pick up some cheap stock.

The last 2 days of trading was peculiar so I was watching. The stock shows all the dance steps of the short shuffle. New houses show up like Barclays and Instinet, increased trading on other platforms like NEO and Chi, more anonymous trades and jitney trades, Remember, jitney is not a trade, it is used to move stock from one house to another.

Those are the steps and here is how the dance goes. Selling or what is actually shorting comes from what looks like a legite house, like RBC, that could change anytime, they use many houses. The shorting occurs throughout the day. Then near days end the stock is whacked to lows of the day and Anonymous, other platforms and the use of Jitney buy to cover a lot of the shorts for a profit. Any core short position might be growing and increasing in profit.

There is only 2 reasons for the dance

1 – markets have been getting hammered while Zonte has been going up in price. It sticks out like a sore thumb so computer short programs maybe picked it up.

2 – the price is being manipulated downward for a cheaper financing

The best thing to do is put in bids and take advantage of unrealistic trading of cheaper stock. Once this shorting gives up or finishes, the stock will quickly rebound much higher because there is no real sellers.

You see this end of day or pre market when there is only 20,000 to 35,000 shares on offer to go to 40 cents.

Good luck to all, see you at the end of the ball when the silly dance is over and stock higher.

Alex, good point and I agree. I will add, that a guy likes Hayes does not get involved with a little junior company unless there is some very big potential and high odds of success
